WORK TASKS
As a member of our team you work in close collaboration to other teachers and in- class/student supports. We are now looking for someone who can provide individual support to one of our students throughout the schoolday. Within your responsibility you will also be an important part in the classroom providing a safe learning environment for all students. WORK TASKS
The key responsibilities of the job includes providing support to children with mathematics, reading and writing on an individual, class or small group basis. Giving extra help to children with special needs or those for whom English is not their first language as well as working side-by-side with the class teacher to plan for class activities are also important tasks.

The job also include:
- Helping to develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials
- Motivating and encouraging pupils attending collaborative meetings
- Helping with school events, trips and activities

QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience of working with children is essential. This can be gained through direct approaches to schools, voluntary work, job shadowing, or by helping at summer camps or play schemes.

There are routes to becoming a teaching/classroom assistant for both university graduates and school leavers. Graduates can have a degree in any discipline. Some teaching assistants are qualified.

International School of Älmhult (ISÄ) is growing rapidly and are now looking for four new PYP homeroom teachers. As a PYP homeroom teacher you undertake transdisciplinary classrooms and create an inclusive environment for all our students. You are responsible of teaching your students within the PYP IB curriculum and provide a structured and engaging learning environment. This means that you prepare and plan your classes and complete the documentations required. As a teacher you encourage every student to feel important and to become moral individuals. WORK TASKS

WORK TASKS

The tasks include planning for and working in after school activities, working as in-class support or student assistent in the classrooms. Your work tasks include, but are not limited to:
- lead the EYP team and ensure that the school and students comply with IBO regulations,
- work close together with the PLT (Pedagogical Leadership Team)
- work together with the PYP coordinator to lead the curricular development,
- complete all documentation in English,
- communicate effectively with all stakeholders and in all formats (presentations, one on one, small group, etc).

This is a 50% position.

We are now looking for a full time PYP Coordinator who will lead the curricular aspects of the programme.

The applicant will:
- Carry out tasks outlined in IB PYP coordinators list of responsibilities.
- Ensure that school and students comply with IB regulations.
- Lead the curricular development, PYP
- Work with MYP coordinator and PYP Deputy Head to develop transition within school programmes.
- Complete all documentation in English.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholder and in all formats (presentations, one on one, small group, etc).

We are looking for someone with IB PYP Coordinator experience, flexible and effective communicator in all forms of English, written and spoken. The successful applicant will also:
- Be able to respond positively to change.

- Be able to lead the development of the IB curriculum with coming changes.
- Be able to lead the team for its Self-study and Reevaluation visits

Additionally, any of the following should be met:
- Leadership experience
- IB Self-study and evaluation or authorization experience

Preference may be given to:
- Ability to read and speak basic Swedish
- Understanding of the Swedish school system

The key responsibilities of the job includes providing support to children with mathematics, reading and writing on an individual, class or small group basis. Giving extra help to children with special needs or those for whom English is not their first language as well as working side-by-side with the class teacher to plan for class activities are also important tasks.

The job also include:
- Helping to develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials
- Motivating and encouraging pupils attending collaborative meetings
- Helping with school events, trips and activities
- Do administrative tasks
- Support teachers in managing class behaviour

There are routes to becoming a teaching/classroom assistant for both university graduates and school leavers. Graduates can have a degree in any discipline. Some teaching assistants are qualified.
