Danfoss Power Solutions is in the search of a Software Product Application Engineer. This position is located in Älmhult, Sweden and includes travelling up to 10%.


Our new team member will join the Software Product Application Engineering Team which is responsible for technical support and education within the field of electrohydraulic control systems for the Off-Highway market. Our mission is to support and educate our customers, as well as providing Danfoss’ Sales Department with technical sales support, regarding software solutions using Danfoss PLUS+1 tools.


If you take the challenge as our new Software Product Application Engineer, you will be in an important role in our After Sales Support by answering and helping our customers in using the Danfoss software tools. You will take part in face-to-face training for our customers in Sweden and in rest of Europe. Also digital training like producing YouTube videos is an important and increasing task for our team. You will be a significant part in our mission to help our customer with their needs of support and training to maintain market position above our competitors. This position involves customer contacts and networking both within and outside the Danfoss’ Group. 


To succeed in this position, we expect you to have:
Bachelor or Master’s degree within Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
A few years of customer contact experience
Experienced in C/C++ and exposure to graphical programming languages
Fluent in English, all other language skills are welcomed



We also appreciate if you have some years of embedded software experience including knowledge of software processes, design and test practices, use of Graphical Programming languages and Functional Safety (IEC 61508, ISO 13849). We consider that you have the practical engineering skills together with some knowledge within the field of electrohydraulic control systems. It is to your advantage if you have worked in a global company or are interested in global team work set-up.
