If you know how to turn raw data into valuable and visual information to our stakeholders you may be the one we are looking for.You will be part of a global team of approx. 8 co-workers, providing the IKEA Components organisation and other stakeholders with correct information about the business performance. Our internal title for this role is Solution Expert BI and in this role, you will be reporting to the Process Development Manager. The position is located in Älmhult, Sweden. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg three times a day.About the assignmentYour main responsibilities as are:•   Develop IKEA Component's BI solution with an end-to-end perspective•   Act as an owner of the entire BI solution but with a clear focus on the backend (data warehouse)•   Development and implementation of new measurements and KPIs•   Drives the LCM for the solution•   Supports planning of external resources and acts as an orderer towards the supplier•   Is primary stakeholder within BI for development of business solutions and processes•   Owns and develops the physical information model•   Acts as an orderer towards data integration team•   Supports report development and business analysis in all aspects of the solution•   Supports the development of "Optimise Business Performance" processOur current BI platform consists of a centralised data warehouse based on Microsoft products and Infor’s DWD as a modelling tool. We use Microsoft BI (Power BI and SSRS) as a frontend to our reports consumers.All information modelling is done in the data warehouse, i.e. this is the complex part of our BI platform.QualificationsYou love to work together with the business defining business requirements. When you know the requirements you put all your energy into finding ways to produce the needed information in our data warehouse. You like to work with data modelling, data warehouse development, testing and implementation. You have experience in working with business intelligence systems and databases. You need to have very good knowledge of the MS stack and preferably knowledge of Microsoft Azure. If you have experience in M3 or DWD/BPW it is an advantage. You also have a clear understanding and good experience in information modelling and taking raw-data all the way to valuable, consumable information in our data marts.As a person you have strong analytical skills - being able to understand requirements from the business and build the fitting data solution. The assignment focuses on the Open & Close range where IKEAs collective use of functional fittings and more are secured from an engineering, quality and requirement perspective. Some of the key features are outlined below:- Responsible for a specific solution area within the IKEA range.- Continuously improving the range with regards to democratic design (Form, Function, Quality, Sustainability and Low Price).- Developing new solutions within the range were gaps are identified. Working closely together with colleges at IKEA Components, development teams at IKEA of Sweden and Purchasing operations close to the component suppliers.- Securing complete component documentation during the component life cycle.- Creating and choosing verification test methods and strategies for the development phase.- Contribute to the creation of additional development tests needed to secure design during the development phase.- Communicate technical requirements to necessary partners during the component development phase (e.g. IKEA of Sweden, Home Furnishing supplier, component supplier).- Identify any compliance gap in documented component requirements and give input to action plan work.- Capture and communicate learnings about technical requirements to relevant stakeholders (e.g IKEA of Sweden, Home Furnishing Business´s, EQR matrix).QualificationsWe think you have a university degree within mechanical engineering and experience applying technical requirements in the product development. You also have experience from verification testing, material technology and manufacturing methods.You are driven, analytical and structured and you pay great attention to details.
