We are now looking for an Accounting Resource to the accounting department in Älmhult for the period beginning of June to end of August. The accounting department at IKEA of Sweden manage the accounting for several subsidiaries within Inter IKEA. As an Accounting resource you will be a part of the accounting team and work mainly in our processes for supplier invoices, ledger administration and monthly closures. You will also be part of the work that our accounting teams continuously do to improve our processes to gain efficiency and quality in our deliveries and support the business and stakeholders.

The focus areas and responsibilities are:
Daily accounting of the bank and sales
Process Supplier invoices according to global and local routines and according to the companies’ authorization matrix
Maintain/setup of master data in our financial systems.
Be part of the closure process, run reports, and do analysis and investigations of specific areas connected to the accounting processes.
Actively participate in the work to increase efficiency and quality and to improve the processes.
We believe that you have a good interest in accounting, tax and VAT area and have finished minimum 1 year of higher education in Sweden with the focus in economics and accounting and have knowledge in Swedish accounting regulations.

To be successful in this role you need to:
Be accurate, analytical, and able to complete your tasks efficiently.
Have good knowledge in Microsoft Excel and experience from working with financial systems.
Be curious and open to new ways of working and strive to improve processes.
Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in economics
As a person you are positive, a good team player and have very good communication skills.

You have a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent knowledge gained from work experience. You have good knowledge in Swedish -Accounting, VAT and commercial law. Fluent in English in both speech and writing.

The accounting department at IKEA of Sweden support several INTER IKEA Companies in Sweden with accounting services.  As an Accounting Assistant you will be a part of the accounting assistant team and work with ledger administration, monthly closures and support the business and our stakeholders with various accounting questions. You will together with the team and our stakeholders continuously work to improve our processes, to gain efficiency and quality to reach excellence in our operations.  You will report to the Accounting Assistant Manager at IKEA of Sweden AB.

About the assignment

As Accounting Assistant, you manage, together in the team, all financial administration and the main focus areas and responsibilities are; 

•    Maintain/setup of master data in our financial systems.
•    General ledger/record bookkeeping transactions.
•    Accounts receivable processes, matching payments versus invoices, creating customer invoices.
•    Responsible for treasury activities; forecasting and handling payments to/from our bank accounts.
•    Responsible for the administration of fixed assets register including yearly inventory.
•    Responsible for reconciliations of accounts, analysis, and investigations of specific accounts/areas. 
•    Handle deviations and make necessary adjustments to be compliant with accounting legislation and practice, income tax and VAT regulations and group guidelines and rules.
•    Support our Accounting Specialists with the monthly closings and year end closing.

• Stora delar av års-/månadsbokslut och vara behjälplig med årsredovisningar/deklarationer
• Framtagning av budget och produktkalkyler
• Redovisning och kontroller
• Uppföljningar och analyser
• Driva företagets processer framåt och effektivisera löpande rutiner

Din bakgrund:

Vi söker dig som är civilekonom och har några års erfarenhet från ekonomiarbete inom tillverkningsindustri eller motsvarande. Dina kunskaper inom redovisnings-/skatteområdet och avseende bokslutsarbete är goda samtidigt som du är en van och duktig användare av framförallt Excel men du kan även hantera övriga delar av Microsoft Office paketet. Har du erfarenhet av SAP, Hyperion och OBIEE är det meriterande.

Du talar och skriver engelska obehindrat, då det är vårt koncernspråk. Om du har kännedom om US GAAP och/eller SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) är detta meriterande.

Du:

• är analytisk
• har en stark förmåga att se samband och strukturer
• har förmåga att arbeta både självständigt och i team/projektform
• är initiativtagande
• har förmåga att prioritera och hålla dig till utsatta deadlines
• är flexibel och har förmåga att lösa utmaningar
