You will be part of our amazing Finance team in Sweden and the focus area for us is to secure the quality in our monthly and yearly closing of the book process as well as securing that we are compliant with both legal and internal framework and rules. You will together with your colleagues be responsible for accurate and timely monthly cost reporting and analysis for IKEA Components and provide financial analysis, follow-up, statistics and reports for various stakeholders in the organization. 

Digitalization is setting the foundation for Finance, and you will be an important player in our team to contribute to implementation of new methodologies and ways of working connected to our Finance Process. You will participate and contribute with input and ideas to our always ongoing Finance development agenda. You will together with your colleagues work with standardizing and automating ways of working. 

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have at least 3-5 years of experience from the finance and controlling area. You inspire, clarify, create togetherness and collaboration. To find better ways and enable change is important for you.
You are curious and have experience from working with the data that is generated from our financial transactions, by your analytical skills you can turn data into information which in turn creates insights and recommendations to the business. 

You can shift focus from details to a holistic view and through your good communication skills you build strong network with stakeholders, at all levels of the organization.
You have knowledge of, and interest in reporting and Business information tools like PBI, Cognos, SAP BPC, Excel or equivalent. Experience from M3, our ERP system, is valuable to have.

You have a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent knowledge gained from work experience. You have good knowledge in Swedish -Accounting, VAT and commercial law. Fluent in English in both speech and writing.

Your main responsibilities as a Finance Controller are:
To secure the operative flow of the yearly and monthly closing of the book process. You will also secure monthly, bi-monthly and yearly operational and legal reporting and provide financial analysis and report for various stakeholders in the organization.

You create different follow-up and statistics, and you are a speaking partner and support to the business within our area of competence. You will also work with various tasks connected to Budget & Forecast, Cost-follow up, Inter IKEA reporting, Annual Financial statement, Income tax return, Transfer Pricing etc.

The accounting department at IKEA of Sweden support several INTER IKEA Companies in Sweden with accounting services.  As an Accounting Assistant you will be a part of the accounting assistant team and work with ledger administration, monthly closures and support the business and our stakeholders with various accounting questions. You will together with the team and our stakeholders continuously work to improve our processes, to gain efficiency and quality to reach excellence in our operations.  You will report to the Accounting Assistant Manager at IKEA of Sweden AB.

About the assignment

As Accounting Assistant, you manage, together in the team, all financial administration and the main focus areas and responsibilities are; 

•    Maintain/setup of master data in our financial systems.
•    General ledger/record bookkeeping transactions.
•    Accounts receivable processes, matching payments versus invoices, creating customer invoices.
•    Responsible for treasury activities; forecasting and handling payments to/from our bank accounts.
•    Responsible for the administration of fixed assets register including yearly inventory.
•    Responsible for reconciliations of accounts, analysis, and investigations of specific accounts/areas. 
•    Handle deviations and make necessary adjustments to be compliant with accounting legislation and practice, income tax and VAT regulations and group guidelines and rules.
•    Support our Accounting Specialists with the monthly closings and year end closing.
