Job Description
We are looking for two Product Requirement Engineers who can support the product development and improvement process of our home appliance range and lead and coordinate the work cross product areas.
You will work closely together with a product development team as the requirement responsible to set and document the relevant product requirements. You will also have a close dialogue with the purchasing organization and suppliers to secure successful implementation.
You need to have good insight into specifications and test methods and keep yourself updated on changes in legislation and other external requirements that may influence the product areas under your responsibility. You will work with documentation for new product developments and well as with improvements of the running range, developing new test methods and/or requirements to live up to our customers’ expectations.
Qualifications
To shine in this role, we think you are driven by a constant urge to improve, develop and challenge. You are a good leader, both of yourself and others, and like new ways of working and process development. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to take the lead in your own work as well as in your contacts with internal and external stakeholders. You have full value chain knowledge experience and are used to working with compliance and market/legal requirements.
You have a University Degree in Engineering or equivalent and solid experience from securing technical preconditions within the field of electronics. You have experience in product development and/or creating and documenting product requirements, as well as knowledge of certification and testing.
Preferably you have been working with electronic products (ovens, microwaves and/or products within cooling range).
Additional information
The position is located in Älmhult, Sweden. Please note that it is required to be located physically in Sweden and working a majority of the week at the office in Älmhult. Älmhult has commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg three times a day.

As a Product Requirement Engineer you will, in addition to what has been mentioned above:
Take part in product development projects
Prepare prototypes and make them available for test labs
Develop new verification methods and test methods when needed
Create a large part of the technical documentation for new products with focus on compliance and quality

Dina arbetsuppgifter
Som applikationstekniker hjälper du kunden att se över hela deras produktionsflöde för att få ännu bättre produktionsekonomi. Vi hjälper kunden med allt från utbildningar, programmeringshjälp till färdiginstallerad maskin vid ett givet datum, komplett med verktyg, program, automation och detaljer inkörda. Du bidrar till kunden genom din tekniska expertis, både kring maskinen men också genom ett helhetstänk kring deras produktionsflöde. En del av arbetet kommer att bestå av att informera och hålla utbildningar vid exempelvis driftsättningar ute hos kund men också agera tekniskt stöd.

Vi ser helst att placeringsort är vid vårt huvudkontor i Vislanda utanför Växjö men du kommer att vara ute hos våra kunder som finns i södra och mellersta Sverige uppskattningsvis 75% av arbetstiden. Du kommer att ingå i ett team tillsammans med ytterligare en applikationstekniker och kommer att arbeta nära flera andra funktioner inom företaget.

Din profil
För att bli framgångsrik i rollen som applikationstekniker hos oss bör du trivas med att arbeta i ett dynamiskt företag med tydligt affärsfokus och högt tempo. Du behöver vara affärsmässig, strukturerad och driven för att få effektivitet i din arbetsvardag. Det är viktigt att du har en positiv inställning och att du är lyhörd inför våra kunders skiftande behov. Då en stor del av tjänsten går ut på att utbilda kunder är det fördelaktigt om du har ett pedagogiskt sätt att framföra information på.

Du fungerar väl i grupp och är bra på att samarbeta såväl med kolleger som med kunder. Tillsammans skapar du och dina kolleger ett lösningsfokuserat, positivt och engagerat team!

För att vara aktuell för tjänsten har du
• Erfarenhet från CNC-programmering eller motsvarande
• God teknisk kunskap inom mekanik och automation
• Bred erfarenhet från industrin och förståelse för flöden
• Erfarenhet inom skärande bearbetning och/eller CNC
• God engelska i tal och skrift
• God datavana (främst Officepaketet och SAP)
• Erfarenhet från programmering i Fanuc, Siemens eller Heidenhain är meriterande

As Product Lifecycle Engineer, PLE, you support the engineering team with administration, documentation and verification activities. You will help to secure that the product information is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards. 

As PLE you will:
Support in verification and validation activities, for example assemble and test furniture 
Secure that technical product information is up-to-date and according to IKEA documentation guidelines and standards 
Perform moderate changes on product documentation including technical requirements and labels
Be responsible to both find and act on gaps in product documentation
