Vi fick möjlighet att prata med Jimmy Andersson, Operations Manager, och Sofie Tunekil, Manager People & Culture, som berättade för oss vad rollen innebär.

Som automationsingenjör på Stena Aluminium får du en central roll i att forma och förbättra företagets produktionsprocesser. Tjänsten är både teknisk och produktionsnära, och du kommer att spendera mycket av din arbetstid i produktionen där du aktivt kommer att identifiera förbättringsområden och implementera lösningar som gör processen både effektivare och mer hållbar. Här handlar det om att inte vänta på att bli ombedd att göra saker, utan att ta initiativ och skapa de förbättringar som gör verklig skillnad. Du kommer att arbeta både självständigt och i team, delta i och ansvara för genomförandet av olika projekt som bidrar till att automatisera och optimera de befintliga systemen.

"Den här tjänsten är en nyckelposition för oss, där du får möjlighet att driva utvecklingen av våra processer framåt. Det handlar om att ta eget ansvar och komma med idéer som kan göra stor skillnad för både produktionen och hela företaget," förklarar Jimmy.

- En teknisk utbildning inom el eller automation på eftergymnasial nivå.
- Erfarenhet från industri, processindustri eller liknande verksamhet.
- Kunskap inom Nätverk, -Databas, Azure, backup och lagring.
- Förståelse för IT-säkerhetsområdet och dess komponenter för tillgångsskydd.
- Goda kunskaper i svenska och engelska, i både tal och skrift.

Det är meriterande om du har kunskaper i Siemens PLC-programmering samt Linux.

Dina arbetsuppgifter

• Arbeta med fokus på att skapa värde och uppfylla kundens förväntningar.
• Ansvarar för att ta fram och bereda tekniska underlag för offerter enligt kundens behov och önskemål.

• Ingenjörsbakgrund med bredkunskap, gärna inom mekanik eller el.

Job Description

Responsible for leading the development of more efficient technical and logistics solutions in the storage and handling process

Responsible for being the bridge between ideas and practical solutions based on ideas, sketches, and drawings to secure the function of the logistics solution

QUALIFICATIONS – WHO?

have an educational background and strong track record in engineering (mechanical/electrical)
high proficiency with SolidWorks

experience with “leading in the unknown”

The Intralogistics organisation is responsible to establish, lead, support and develop logistics solutions for the various IKEA units that have a logistical and fulfilment component, including the development and innovation agenda of intralogistics at IKEA global. In practical terms, Intralogistics shall lead and educate in creating concepts, processes and solutions for IKEA Handling and Storage as well as to act as centre of expertise for all establishments of logistics units around the globe. The organisation is in strong lead towards a more mechanical and automated goods handling.

About the job
The home of this position is with Business & Product Development within IKEA Intralogistics. This department develops automated logistics solutions for the full IKEA Supply Chain. This role will play a crucial part in making sure that the machines and robots that are being fully in-house developed have automation software/programming that is optimized and scalable.

As a Product Developer you´re responsible securing the functional engineering and quality needs to deliver logistic solutions by optimizing all aspects. You will also be accountable for the performance and safety of a machine/system regarding all electrical or mechanical (technical) aspects throughout the lifecycle. You will be accountable to verify the final technical solutions based on customer needs and technical requirements.

About the assignment
As the Product Developer you will among other tasks:
Responsible for developing framework and library functionality supporting solution implementation in Intralogistics logistic systems
Responsible for troubleshooting library functionalities
Responsible for documentation of product / solution
Responsible for integration with Intralogistics software
Contribute from a technical perspective into design / choices of constructions, components, production, test, quality and maintenance
Review and verify design drawings and other technical documentation prepared by other departments to ensure correctness and accuracy in form, fit and function
Secure first batch and first delivery inspection of solutions
Travels are included periodically in this position
About you
As a person, you have a strong interest in supply chain and intralogistics, having a high interest in the field of technology, digitalisation automation and robotics. PLC Programming. Experience with PLC-programming in Structured Text is strongly preferred.
Experience with motion control

Version management (Git)
Experience from being automation-, application- or commissioning engineer, preferably for several years
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Willingness to travel during commissioning phases of machines that have been developed
(Meriting) Experience with integrated safety
