The product range is our identity and Range Operations Specialist Functions at IKEA is one of the most important enablers to ensure that we live up to our vision. We have the responsibility to lead and ensure that IKEA always develop and create outstanding, creative engineering solutions that are built on requirements enabling all products to be safe and healthy at all times. We lead proactive identification and establishment of needed product requirements and associated verification methods to meet the exponential growth of demands in an ever changing world.
Job Description
We are looking for you who want to secure the future together with us, literally. The IKEA product range is designed to be functional, neat looking, affordable, of good quality and sustainable. This is what we call democratic design. But if it’s not living up to safety and other regulatory standards, we wouldn’t be able to offer it to our customers. This is where you come in!
As a Product Requirement Specialist (PRS) at IKEA of Sweden you make sure that we have the prerequisites to make our products comply with global regulation and standards. Right now, we are looking for a PRS for Storage furniture, to support the development and verification process with identification, documentation and interpretation of relevant national and international regulations and standards for storage furniture. By building a network of stakeholders in external alliances and standardisation organisations, you will influence relevant new and existing legislation, regulations, and standards. Internally you´ll work in close collaboration with different teams in product development and product engineering.
Qualifications
It’s preferred that you have experience from working with legal requirements and standards applicable to storage furniture development. We see that you are analytical person with a strong attention to details, however, you are also able to “zoom out” and navigate from more holistic perspective easily. You most probably have an engineering background and you have an experience with working with products. If you’re also confident in front of a larger audience, even better! In this role you will lead trainings and information distribution of product requirements for storage furniture to the entire IKEA product development organisation, which is a network of 100+ colleagues, all waiting for you to translate complex regulations into simple common language, so they can develop products that comply. You know what you’re talking about when it comes to the ways in which legislation and standards for storage furniture are being developed and maintained, and how they are applied in product development. It´s about having a lot of energy and experience in providing support to an organisation regarding competence development activities and implementation of product requirements. Your English skills are very good, both in verbal and in written communication.
Eager to get going? Feel like this is you? Amazing, then we would like to hear from you!
