As a Test Automation Specialist on the AWS Data Platform, you will strengthen our Data Delivery function within the area of Data & Analytics.
You will design and develop automation test features on the new AWS-based Data Platform, as an integral part of our "Data & Analytics" team. As Technical Specialist within Global Test at IKEA of Sweden you will be responsible for the operational activities for our external test labs regarding our physical products. You will work in close collaboration with both internal stakeholders as well as external ones such as our external test lab to help them understand IKEAs direction.

You will be:
Responsible for managing the Test Process within your scope, adoption and execution within the development area and customs related projects.
Manage verification and validation activities including managing the acceptance test team, plan and control the acceptance test effort, evaluating and reporting the result.
Contribute to creating a solid foundation for the Test process within development area customs and make sure that releases or project deliverables are delivered with expected quality by steering, following-up and verifying that stated acceptance criteria and quality goals are fulfilled.

Qualifications
We believe you have 3-5 years’ experience of test management, in test lead and/or test specialist positions.
We think you have experience of configuration management and is experienced in release and deployment.
We think you have excellent skills in developer.
We believe you have worked with Selenium as test automation tool.
We believe you are experienced in using test development tools, bug reporting systems, have good knowledge of general IT frames e.g., standards, infrastructure and platforms, frameworks, development concepts and processes. It is a plus if you also are familiar with tools used within IKEA.
You are very structured when it comes to test methods and how to manage test environments.
You have excellent analytical skills. You can see the big picture as well as details and to structure information and derive conclusions and consequences out of them.

Essential duties and responsibilities
The Software Test Engineer plays an important role in our overall software development process. Because the Software Test Engineer will be testing the embedded software on our automated test environment, the testing scope goes beyond unit testing and instead focuses on how to best ensure software quality by developing software tests that can run on a variety of hardware configurations and across a variety of test environments.

Key Tasks/ Responsibilities Execute embedded software test projects from planning through maintenance for new and existing products.
Participate in global automated test development team. Contribute to and comply with global defined process, methods, and tools.
Develop and maintain automated verification test programs for testing software functionality.
Analyze regression test runs and perform other maintenance testing as well as manual verification testing.
Maintain the automated test environment in order to support various test requests from colleagues.
