Assignment
Your main assignment will be to work in close collaboration with IKEA Home Furnishing Suppliers & IKEA of Sweden in projects for the development of the existing and future solutions of material for IKEA products. You will be working on developing plastic raw material solutions for various product portfolios within IKEA.
You will be driving and taking part in innovative development projects, performing material tests and securing the quality level of the raw material in your responsibility area. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining the technical documentation, and working with the standardization of the plastic material range. You will also secure (together with a production engineer) the quality compliance of the material and production processes at the raw material suppliers in accordance with IKEA specifications.
Qualifications

Smart Start är ett samarbete mellan Sydsvenska Handelskammaren, Linnéuniversitetet, Region Kalmar Län och Region Kronoberg. Syftet är att få de unga talanger som utbildas i regionen att stanna kvar även efter examen. Men också att locka hemvändare och andra som vill ha en smart start på sin karriär. Detta för att säkra kompetensen hos företagen i regionen.
Företaget anställer traineen under ett års tid samtidigt som hen deltar i ett utbildande program i Smart Starts regi.
Swepart transmission är idag ett av Sveriges absolut ledande företag inom utveckling och tillverkning av avancerande transmissionslösningar. Swepart är en viktig leverantör till fordonsindustrin. Företaget startade 1945 av bröderna Bengtsson för att tillverka kugghjul. Idag drivs företaget av entreprenörsdrivna familjen Andersson och har ca 250st anställda i Liatorp utanför Växjö.
Om programmet
En fantastisk möjlighet att utveckla din kompetens, bygga nätverk, både sociala och professionella, och knyta värdefulla kontakter för din fortsatta utveckling inom företaget. Det 12 månader långa programmet innehåller 6 moduler av olika teman som genomförs i grupp tillsammans med andra trainees från olika företag och branscher i Kronoberg-Kalmar.

Vem är du?
Någon form av teknisk ingenjörsutbildning, gärna inom maskinteknik eller produktutveckling. Din examen ska inte vara äldre än 1 år.
Det är meriterande om du har verkstadserfarenhet (maskinoperatör eller annan form av verkstadsvana)
Kunskap i någon form av konstruktionsprogram (CAD, Inventor, Solid eller dylikt)
Behärska svenska och engelska i tal och skrift
Som person är du driven, vågar utmana och trivs med att jobba hårt för att nå resultat tillsammans med andra

Som ingenjör hos Swepart får du möjlighet att rotera mellan avdelningar och på så sätt få en god bild av vår verksamhet.

Praktisk info
Programmet startar i september 2021. Vårt huvudkontor ligger i Liatorp, 40km utanför Växjö. Du blir tillsvidareanställd hos oss på Swepart och efter avslutat program tar du nästa steg i din karriär inom Swepart.

About the assignment
As a Production Engineer you lead the engineering and quality agenda with the overall goal to improve the customer satisfaction. You are the main contact towards the suppliers and work as part of the business team together with the supplier to develop and secure the production processes, handling of quality deviations and secure compliance to all IKEA requirements. Amongst others you:

• are an expert in quality assurance and follow up

• perform product audits and production risk assessments at supplier sites
• are responsible for supplier development

• are leading the continuous improvements agenda from a production perspective

• have the interest and drive to build trust and partnership to reach common goals
