About the role
The role of the Finance Manager will very much be to continue the change journey and strengthen the competitiveness of the plant in Älmhult through close cooperation , benchmark with other production units and digital transformation. This is an operational role that combines leadership with hands-on involvement in the business.
You have a great team consisting of three co-workers a finance assistant, a finance controller and a production controller. At IKEA Industry, you'll be a part of an international organization and a world-known brand. As part of the management team, you’ll be actively involved in shaping and driving the business strategy.

Key responibilities


· Lead financial monthly-, half-year-, and yearly/annual closings
· Monthly analysis of financial output and corrective actions
· Lead the budget and business planning processes for the unit including the estimate processes
· Development of KPI:s for follow up of the operational effectiveness
· Drive the development to continuously enhance Finance processes and operations
· Project controlling – handling, steering, following up on larger projects connected to the strategy

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with strong leadership and communication skills who has experience from global manufacturing industries. You likely have a master’s degree within finance or business administration. We believe you have 5-10 years of experience in a finance organization including both financial as well as operational reporting. You have experience from working with modern and effective IT-systems together with a knowledge within LEAN production and Project Management. You are fluent in both speaking and writing English .
You have the ability to inspire, challenge and support the organization along with your strong analytical skills. In the Business Navigation team, we navigate and steer the business towards sustained long term profitability by being driven by the IKEA business idea, culture, and values, with a focus on sustainable performance. We support business leaders with right information at the right time. We lead and support the development of the report landscape, report applications, KPI’s, system solutions and ways to steer and follow up business performance.

You will have a small Business Navigation team as direct report and in matrix lead Business Navigation function in our 6 Category Areas. You will also lead our Business Information Purchasing team based in PLA (Purchase Logistic Areas).

You will report to the Purchasing Development Manager and be part of Purchasing Development Management.  The position is placed in Älmhult, Sweden. Other locations connected to Purchasing Development locations can be considered. 

As Business Navigator Manager you will enable and support in driving business performance. Support in creating and implementing the strategic business plans, securing that relevant business goals are set in line with the Purchasing strategy. Secure the overall cost and resource allocation, cost frame, forecast, delivering to the business goals and initiate, lead and support the development of new ways of working, with focus on simplicity, providing relevant and user-friendly business information standardized for all Purchasing Development.

You will also be responsible to lead and develop the Business Navigation team and Business Information Purchasing team. Set performance criteria, report regularly with relevant reporting and analyzes, steering all involved organizations towards achieving results. Contribute to establish a framework for defining, monitoring and mitigating risks on trade barriers, market and political risks as well as volatility in currency and raw materials.

Secure Business Contingency Plans are in place and well-communicated with relevant information to stakeholders and lead and support implementation of portfolio- and project management within Purchasing Development.

 You will:
Enable business development by being an active partner in business and action planning; securing that business intelligence is analysed and acted upon, identifying potentials and risks in and around the business, taking lead in budgeting and financial planning and exploring the future by building scenarios and contingency plans.
Secure conditions for a long term profitable business by navigating and steering towards set goals and within financial frames.
Be responsible for financial planning, record keeping and reporting, adherence to power of authority (POA) structure and common chart of accounts (CCA) and accurate accounting, budgeting and resource planning. Responsible for securing and reporting accurate and compliant accounted results.
Be responsible for securing compliance to accounting and tax laws and legal rules and standards. Ensure governance and compliance with local laws (in the area of Finance, Tax and Administration) as well as IKEA internal rules and guidelines (i.e. Code of Conduct). Act as the contact person to external authorities (tax, legal, government, etc.) in case of enquiries or inspections.
Be responsible for securing the operative flow of the yearly and monthly closing of the book process.

Facilitate a strong performance culture where navigation is pro-active towards clear goals and budgets, deviations are detected early and acted upon and where business and financial insights reach the right receivers at the right time.

About the assignment
In this role you will be responsible for the overall business performance management for the Range part of IKEA Range & Supply. This entails business steering and navigation, finance, governance & legal, risk & compliance and business support operations. And this includes the legal entity of IKEA of Sweden and its subsidiaries as well as matrix responsibility for IKEA Älmhult AB and its subsidiaries. You will be managing the business and financial performance in accordance with the IKEA Direction and strategies, the Inter IKEA Group financial frames and the applicable Range assignments. 

As CFO you will lead the functional teams for Business Steering, Finance & Administration, Governance & Legal and Risk & Compliance and you will report to the IKEA Range & Supply manager. You will be part of IKEA Range & Supply’s management team and Chair for IKEA Range & Supply Risk Council. You will represent the Range Business in the Inter IKEA Group Finance Committee, securing decisions taken are taken into the business and participate in IKEA company boards.
You will have an overall view of Inter IKEA Group Strategies and activities and will be expected to build and maintain clear governance set-up for the Range business.
