Specialist Functions is one of the departments in Range Operations and hosts several assignments connected to specialists. Now the Specialist Functions is diversifying its skills, and we are growing to get even better at what we do.
We are building a new team with diverse competence to take the next step towards our ambitions of being an effective and efficient Specialist function adding value. In this role you will be reporting to the Compliance and Requirements Manager for Expanding Markets.
Job Description

In this role, you will have a great opportunity to lead projects and topics for Range connected either to existing retail countries and new and potential ones. You will be exposed and connect with colleagues from the full value chain of IKEA, to understand the markets needs and what Range has to contribute with. You will have a diverse stakeholder group, to manage and maintain relations with, both in Range and IKEA world, to keep the group’s deliverables together in the assigned projects. It is a unique opportunity to be exposed to the full IKEA value chain of IKEA.
So, what would you do:
Lead execution of activities as Project Leader.
Conclude with clarity the projects outcomes and anchor them with the stakeholders in Range.
Make recommendations of appropriate next steps in the projects and topics that you lead.
Ensure cross functional collaboration to meet the projects/topics needs through others that are having the specific competencies in their areas of expertise.
Create clarity on what Range needs to deliver in the projects and topics for existing, new and potential new markets.
To learn and to understand new and unfamiliar topics, this to be able to assess and make conclusions.
Connect and maintain relationships with a large and diverse group of colleagues across IKEA, to be able to have a holistic understanding and approach in your work.
Influence and develop an existing setup of leading projects in Range connected to existing, new and potential markets.

Qualifications

To succeed & shine in this role, we wish that you:
Have minimum several years of relevant Range experience (in one or more areas connected to Manage the Range, Manage the offer, Manage the HFBs ) – understanding how Range operates, organizes and creates value in the total IKEA value chain.
Besides Range, ideally you have experience from IKEA Supply or/and Retail Concept.
Pose Strong project management skills.
Have strong stakeholder management skills.
Have great communication and interpersonal skills.
Lead your own work and thrive in an environment where you need to find your own way.
Have excellent indirect leadership skills.
Have good presentation skills and comfortable to be exposed to a diverse range of forums, where you can adapt to the audience.
Are good at building relationships and maintaining them.
Are comfortable to take operational decisions and comfortable to escalate in case the project or topic requires to.
Can create your own project communication materials that are engaging and clear in message.
Are curious about parts of IKEA that you do not know, and you want to learn about them.

Job Description
We are now hiring a Compliance Specialist at Supply Sustainability! In our function one purpose is to manage implementation of IWAY, the IKEA way for responsibly procuring products, services, materials, and components. It’s our supplier code of conduct that sets clear requirements and ways of working with environmental, social, and working conditions, as well as animal welfare, for all IKEA suppliers and service providers.
In this position you will report to the IWAY Development Leader in IKEA Supply.
About the role
As a compliance specialist you will contribute to the business by ensuring the integrity, credibility and effectiveness of the IWAY system throughout the IKEA supply chain.
Your assignment includes to:
Strategize and plan the continuous program for external verification and assurance of IWAY implementation in IKEA Supply
Define and lead implementation of effective and efficient ways of working
Vendor management (define needs, manage operational relationship with contracted third parties)
Onboarding, competence development and approval of third-party assessors
Operational coordination of third-party assurance activities with relevant internal and external stakeholders
Analyse results and take continuous learnings from the program. Lead implementation of identified improvements across the organization
Lead and/or participate in various development projects connected to sustainability compliance in IKEA Supply.
Live and show in behavior, IKEA culture and values

Qualifications
In order to shine in this role, we hope to see that you check the following boxes:
Formal training and education in sustainability or closely related field
Minimum 5 years experience working with a wide range of sustainability compliance issues in a multinational business.
Advanced leadership skills & excellent communication in both spoken and written English
Deep knowledge & awareness of sustainability trends and issues
Ability to understand the needs of the business and of society and build strategy and approaches
Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders and influence change
Ability to think strategically and translate this into operational actions
Ability to challenge and develop existing ways of working

It is a bonus if you have deep understanding of the IKEA business model.
