The team is growing, and there are several openings where similar backgrounds could fit, letting your preferences guide the path. WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:Has a post-secondary education in game development, game programming, or a related field.

Is fluent in English, Swedish is a plus.

Hos vår kund utvecklar och underhåller du avancerade 3D-pipelines och applikationer för både realtidsanvändning och offline-rendering.

I rollen arbetar du i en agil miljö med fokus på innovation och effektivisering. Du kommer att arbeta med moderna och spännande teknologier för att utveckla lösningar som möjliggör digital visualisering och marknadsföring, med allt från 3D-modeller till andra interaktiva verktyg.

Teamet växer och nu finns det flera öppningar där samma typ av bakgrund kan passa men där dina preferenser får avgöra. Antingen drivs du av att arbeta som Graphics Developer, där du fokuserar på komplex teknisk utveckling i plattformar som Unity och avancerad kodning i exempelvis C++. Här trivs du som älskar tekniska utmaningar och kanske har erfarenhet från spelutveckling eller motorutveckling. Eller så lockas du mer av rollen som Tools Developer, där du utvecklar användarnära verktyg i program som Blender eller Maya och skapa bland annat olika 3D-modeller.

What does the job as a 3D-Coordinator entail?

Your first assignment as a consultant with us will be carried out at an exciting customer in Älmhult where you will work with coordinating and contributing to 3D related projects and productions.
In a fast-paced environment you will work together with your team to secure that the 3D models get produced according to internal guidelines. Depending on which project you will join you might also, help develop new ways of working, order and quality assure 3D models, create real time assets and much more.

Who are you?

To be successful in this role, you need to have good knowledge of coordinating and you will need prior knowledge of 3D. You are motivated to work in an evolving landscape, to learn and share your knowledge and experiences. You are used to work in high volume productions and thrive to work towards deadlines.

We wish for you to have the following skills:

* Experience working with 3d-software, such as 3D Studio Max or similar.

The Digital Lab is part of IMC and drives the digital innovation work in the spatial computing area for all IKEA companies. The Digital Lab is right now looking for a Research Engineer with knowledge within Spatial Computing / XR Development.
In this position you will use your technical expertise to explore, evaluate and transfer innovation insights.
You are someone with an innovative mind and lateral thinking. Someone who thinks virtual worlds are cool but helping real people is even better. You know why robots and pie go well together and why point clouds on a sunny day do not matter at all.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Explore and evaluate new technology and its possibility to improve IKEA customer and co-worker experience
Develop real-time 3D applications to serve as inspiring proof of concepts
Collaborate with external experts and innovators in explorations of technical solutions
Collect and share expertise with IKEA stakeholders

Qualifications
The person we´re looking for is someone passionate about the future of 3D graphics. A person who wants to use game engine for more than just for games. Someone who likes to conceptualise the utopian and dystopian future of the digital - human interface. Someone that think Swedish meatballs have the potential to taste even better in mixed reality. We’re looking for a person who can break down high-level concepts like these and explore them singlehandedly or as part of team.
You´ll need to have many of these skills:
Extensive background in real-time 3D graphics with deep Interest in the future of Real Time Graphics (VR/MR/AR). Understanding of graphics pipelines related to real-time 3D environments. Passion for how sound and audio design and haptics can be used to elevate immersive experiences
Extensive experience with Unreal and/or Unity and/or native IOS/Android 3D development. Experience with mobile application development and deployment
Deep programming skills building applications communicating with back-ends and building applications of interactive worlds using game engines. Good knowledge of at least 2 different core programming languages such as C#, Python, C++ or JavaScript
Extensive background setting up full stack for applications from ground up.
Good understanding of Cloud based computing and storage solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)
Ability to formulate new ideas surrounding technological innovations. Ability to discuss problems with program code examples.

Job description:

* Produce digital and/or 3D content, ranging from scanning and photographing real-life materials to creating and rendering textures and shaders for use in the different products created in 3D, staying true to product specifications.
* Develop and make available all documentation regarding how to apply/use material in 3D models and minimize incorrect or inaccurate product representations.
* Provide advice to the 3D production team with choosing the right material, where patterns may need to be very precise or appear flawed/natural depending on material/product.
* Participate actively throughout the whole production to ensure the quality of the materials/textures used in 3D models according to the internal set guidelines, frame work and technical pipeline; while still also challenging the optimization or adaptation of improved workflows.
* Analyze and challenge constantly the right balance between quality, time and cost during the daily production work and in alignment with assignment requirements.

As a Technical Artist you will be responsible for setting pre-requisites for a lean and effective volume production of high-quality photo realistic 3D Images, designing and implementing technical tools and processes. You are responsible for securing 3D related assets in the production flow leading to; delivering on time in high quality, at low cost and with a strong commitment in creating the most efficient workflow. You combine creativity and technology to enable large volume production of high quality 3D images of products, room settings and environments, that delivers to the brief and IKEA´s communication strategy.

Examples of responsibilities in this role are: 
To drive performance and KPI towards lowering cost and time while maximizing output and quality
Working with lean production, efficiency and automation ensuring capacity for volume and scalability
Participating actively in dialogues regarding the production methods ways of working, based on technical pre-requisites
