Job Description


As Product Requirement Engineer, you will belong to the Engineering function in Range Area Food Services and report to the Product Engineering Manager. You will have the opportunity to contribute to growth by increasing the range's quality and the total quality perception of IKEA Food. You will also secure the quality of the products related to issues within a given range.
As Product Requirement Engineer for Food your main responsibilities are:
Participate product development projects and developing product formulations
Reviewing product ingredients to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer preferences.
Developing product specifications for new and existing products, considering factors such as nutritional content, shelf life, and sensory attributes
Conducting risk assessments of products and ingredients to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
Managing projects from concept to launch, ensuring that products are delivered on time, within budget, and meet established quality standards.
Ensuring compliance with relevant food safety regulations and industry standards
Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop processes and working methods, while fostering cross-organizational partnerships at IKEA.

Qualifications


Have knowledge and experience in food quality, food safety, and food legislation. You have a university degree in Food Engineering, Food Science or Food Technology. Experience with food product formulations and packaging will be a huge plus. You are also fluent both in spoken and written English.
As a person, you can work in a changing and fast-moving environment, have a problem-solving approach with accurate details and are used to coordinate and involve relevant functions.
You are a team player with a result-oriented mind, but you are highly driven and have a passion for quality and food.

Job Overview: As Product Requirement Engineer – compliance you will be working to identify and secure compliance-based requirements for Appliances within the IKEA range. Analyse legal and market specific requirements received for our products.

Interact with PRS (Product Requirement Specialist), Local PR&C:s and other relevant stakeholders, to obtain and secure relevant, required compliance solutions for IKEA Appliances to support Development Teams.
Capture learnings and actively share knowledge connected to Legal requirements
Identify compliance gaps in product documentation and give input to action plan.

Qualifications:
University Degree in Engineering.
Several years of experience in product development or creating and documenting legal and market product requirements.
Proven ability to lead initiatives and drive them from inception to completion within a given scope.
Strong analytical skills and a passion for detail.
Excellent skills in coordination, leadership, and inspiring others.
Eager to share knowledge and able to simplify complex legislations.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer in our diverse, capable and humorous team at Range Area (RA) Lighting & Home Electronics, you will take part in the development of new lighting products and components including accessories and other products found in our range.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are passionate about creating the best mechanical design solution for the customer at the right price, with the right quality, with beautiful design and with a clear focus on sustainability. We believe that you have a University Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as theoretical and practical background within Mechanical Engineering and its impact of the value chain - from raw material to the co-worker and customer perspective. You have an interest in electronics and working experience in a product development environment.
You are experienced and knowledgeable within mechanical design engineering in terms of drawing technique, technical solutions and design for manufacturing, production techniques etc. You know how to design a product in the most cost-efficient way with expected high quality. Furthermore, you have knowledge in mechanical requirements and global test methods and standards. To succeed in this role, you need to excel in working with a 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks. What you will do
We are looking for a Product Engineer to lead the development and implementation of new products, the moves of products from one supplier to another one and the improvement of existing products based on product documentation, quality performances and customer expectations. Ensure the suppliers meet the requirements and tolerances required, secure quality and compliance to all requirements. You will be working with strategical suppliers, producing equipment for our Retail partners across variety of raw materials. You will be located in IKEA Components office, Älmhult, Sweden.
As a Product Engineer, you will be working with Product Development – News, Moves, Improves. In detail that means:
Lead from a Category perspective and secure scalability for further implementation at other suppliers
Communicate changes and progress to relevant parties.
Lead Product and Production risk assessments
Assess and improve supplier´s development capabilities
Ensure clear product documentation with CTQs.
Approve product and packaging tests before progressing to the next phase.
Act on deviation during product adaptation
Support Production Engineer during startup.
Keep together all the news and communicate project status in an effective and clear way

Product Engineers also ensure that product and supplier meet all Quality Compliance requirements and participate in development of specs, incl. IOS MAT.
About you
You have capability to keep total project portfolio and see synergies in news development for optimization of time and resources. You know and have experience with production processes and technologies, including lean manufacturing tools. You understand democratic design and customer needs and expectations regarding function, customer friendliness and products critical to quality (CTQ).
You have good knowledge of materials' properties and construction and its impact on cost and sustainability. You are comfortable evaluating the suppliers technical and quality performance to produce products, genuinely interested in understanding the reality of production and continuous improvements.

Based on the Material direction and knowledge about life at home, identify, initiate, and lead material and related technology innovation projects until the material or technology has been deployed into a product solution
When needed, prepare and present development projects at relevant innovation councils.
Responsible to develop the project plan following the DNS process.
Responsible to develop a deployment plan for the project in collaboration with relevant partners internally and externally and ensure best conditions for fast deployment into product solutions.
Act as a specialist/subject matter expert for the material and related production process/technology throughout the development process. Liaise with the Material Technology Engineer (MTE) for specific material details.
Secure that all necessary agreements are in place together with legal counsel and that intellectual property is considered throughout the development process.
Initiate IP research in connection to projects and/or areas of development, and initiate

Competent user of commercial LCA software, preferably experienced in SimaPro, and have a good understanding of life cycle inventory databases (Ecoinvent is a requirement).
Ability to slice and translate complex matters into simple and practical solutions and examples workable in a business context.
Capability to find ways forward when and where necessary system support or material data are not available.
Good skills in data management, programming (e.g., Python) and business analytics (e.g. Microsoft Power BI) is an advantage.

As a Packaging Solution Engineer you will:
• be responsible and expected to take the lead in the development of packaging solutions, running this as a project with end-to-end responsibility for quality and timelines.

Qualifications:

• education within engineering as well as the theoretical and practical background within packaging and its impact of the value chain - from raw material to the co-worker and customer perspective.
• knowledge in packaging construction in terms of drawing technique, technical solutions, and design for manufacturing.

Du utbildar och stöttar också säljorganisationen med din produktkunskap i samband med deras marknadsaktiviteter.

Ditt främsta arbetsredskap är Inventor CAD och du samverkar i ett sammansvetsat team tillsammans med produktchef och ytterligare en produktutvecklare.

Din profil
Vi söker dig som är genuint intresserad av produktutveckling, är affärstänkande och som drivs av att hitta nya kostnadseffektiva lösningar. Du har minst 3-5 års erfarenhet av produktutveckling och du är en van CAD-användare. Din utbildningsbakgrund är på högskolenivå med teknisk inriktning, alternativt har du arbetat dig till motsvarande kunskaper. Som person är du kreativ, teknisk och inte minst en trevlig kollega som trivs med att arbeta såväl teambaserat som självständigt. Det är viktigt för oss att du delar våra kärnvärden mod, engagemang och ansvar.

Starkt meriterande är tidigare erfarenhet av att arbeta ledande med hela produktutvecklingsprocessen, inklusive att sätta budget och tidsplan. Har du dessutom kunskap inom VVS samt att utveckla produkter i rostfritt, mässing och koppar så är detta en stor fördel.

Huvudsakliga ansvarsområden
Produktansvarig ansvararför alla tekniska- och designrelaterade frågor för sin produkt. Det innebär tät kommunikation med övriga teknikgrupper såsom hydraulik, mekanik, el, beräkning och även med marknadsavdelning, kvalitet, produktion och inköp. Befattningen har i dagsläget inget lönesättande personalansvar, men som produktansvarig leder och samordnar du det tvärfunktionella arbetet med produkten.
Projekten har tyngdpunkt på linjeprojekt, snarare än utvecklingsprojekt. I jobbet ingår att rita i Cad (Solid Works) och arbetsfördelningen är ca 70% konstruktion, 30% ledning. Våra produkter säljs alltid tillsammans med våra kunders containerhanteringsutrustning (truck eller hamnkran). Försäljning till slutkund sker genom våra kunders återförsäljare spridda över hela världen. Som produktansvarig är du ett viktigt stöd och bollplank till marknadsavdelningen då de utbildar våra kunder och deras återförsäljare på ELMEs produkter. Vidare är du delaktig vid kundbesök (på ELME eller hos kund), mässor och andra events.  
Produktansvarige rapporterar direkt till Teknikchefen.
Grundläggande kvalifikationskrav
Du har en ingenjörsexamen, minst 3 års erfarenhet inom mekanikkonstruktion (helst rörliga delar), god kompetens i CAD-konstruktion, god kunskap i svenska och engelska i såväl tal- som skrift.
Meriterande
Erfarenhet av att konstruera svetsade konstruktioner. Erfarenhet från fordonsindustrin. Någon form av ledarerfarenhet/erfarenhet av att koordinera. Erfarenhet av produktimplementering.
Personliga egenskaper

Job Description
We are looking for a Product Requirement Engineer that can translate customer’s wishes into technical requirements. You will be responsible to identify and develop product requirements that will make products safe, loved by our customer and sellable on all our markets.
As Product Requirement Engineer you will work in the product development team as a requirement specialist. You will create a strong relationship with IKEA’s Requirement development department as well as engineers from the purchasing organization to secure understanding of the product requirements and a successful implementation.
You will have a good knowledge into IKEA specifications, standards and test methods relevant for the product areas you are responsible for.

Qualifications

This is a new role, and it will be an important part of the implementation of our new PLM system. Or if you want, this assignment is a key role in our digital transformation, because that is what it is all about. We are looking for a candidate who is going support our product development organisation on the implementation journey, that has already started. You are going to handle all kinds of different needs and tasks that are coming up during our implementation. You will be an integral part of IKEAs product development organisation with a lot of colleagues and stakeholders, so you are not unfamiliar with showing your face, both on and off screen. This is a role for the one who thrives in the middle of the movement, where you find your way forward and see the unknows as a great chance to have impact. Your communication skills are the kind that help you build good and trustful relations, and of course – your skills in English are excellent, both written and verbal.

In this assignment your main responsibilities will be:

To communicate technical requirements/test methods to stakeholders e.g., product development team, engineers from Purchasing Organization, Test labs and Suppliers.
Responsible to identify applicable requirements and develop customer-based requirements.
Responsible for the product documentation and to verify product performance during development.

Qualifications
You probably have a University Degree in Engineering and a couple of years of experience from working with textile/comfort materials. In the product requirement engineering field, you are regarded as experienced with the ability to lead yourself, take great responsibility and drive initiatives from start to finish. You have good analytical skills and high ability to coordinate, lead and inspire others.

Job Description
As a Product Design Engineer (PDE) in IKEA Home smart, you are the Technical Project Leader.
You will be responsible for developing new physical products in the area of embedded software and Internet of Things (IoT) and continuously improve the quality and compliance of our existing products range. The PDE is accountable for bringing the required engineering competencies in to the projects and secure that all the technical deliverables are on time. In a collaborative and multifunctional environment, you will lead a team of highly skilled Engineers through the technical product development process. Qualifications

To secure the global chemical requirements for products that handle food we are looking for a Product Requirement Specialist for our team that handle Chemical requirements.
Job Description
As a Product Requirement Specialist you will provide specialist support and together with other roles within the organization, set the pre-conditions to secure safe and healthy products that comply with market requirements and standards that fulfil or even exceed customer expectations in all our sales markets.
More specifically you will:
Take leadership for gathering information externally about existing and proposed product requirements for existing and future life at home products.
Lead the development of product requirements and secure that they are documented and communicated in a clear and simple way.
Support the organization with competence development activities and implementation of product requirements.
Share your competence, experience and learning’s with colleagues.
Establish your internal and external network needed to succeed in your assignment.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you need to be able to navigate in a complex international organization, taking leadership and responsibility within your assignment. You have the ability to communicate in a clear and simple way with experts and non-experts. You are driven by a strong curiosity and have a desire to find better ways together with others, always with the business and our customers in focus. Since we are working in an international environment you need to be strong in communicating in English.
We believe that you have a university degree within the area of chemistry, or similar, and that you have experience from regulatory and product requirement/compliance-related work.
Preferably we see that you have knowledge in chemical risks related to various materials, such as plastics, metals, paper and ceramic. And having experience from work related to food-contact materials and requirements specifically is seen as a strong plus.
Ability to work in a structured way is a pre-condition, as well as good communication skills. Acting and leading according to the IKEA values is crucial.
