Job Description
As Communication Specialist you support your stakeholders with strategic and tactical communication that supports our business and people goals. You’ll ensure our strategic messages reach the target audiences, through our channel landscape, packaged in an engaging and inspiring way. You drive an open and sharing climate, you lead rooted in the IKEA values and you have a passion for keeping co-workers informed, engaged and empowered. This role will have its primary focus on working with the common communication agenda across IKEA Supply, developing our ways to reach and interact with our many co-workers and stakeholders.
Plan, develop and execute communication activities that create engagement with our target groups and help position the IKEA Brand
To co-create, execute and follow up communication projects to support the development of the business and to drive business priorities
Maintain and develop our communication channel landscape and connected ways of working to support the everchanging needs of the business and target groups
Help keep all parts of the IKEA Supply organization up to date on key business initiatives and priorities
Provide, maintain and develop communication solutions within the areas of the digital channel landscape, editorials and news, internal campaigns, graphic design and video production according to the business need
Be a visual, verbal and written communication expert, coaching and supporting stakeholders and colleagues in planning, developing and delivering impactful communication
Contribute and deliver to cross-functional assignments prioritised in the matrix/common initiatives
Create a communicative culture and help our leaders and co-workers to lead with communication

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for
Highly effective, cost-efficient and proactive office administration that supports co-workers in their daily needs, e.g. office supply, conference rooms, technical equipment and other co-worker administration. You will also work in various systems, with meet & travel and be responsible for keeping proper relevant documentation.
Find new ways of working to make the administration area in Purchasing & Logistics office leaner, quicker and simpler
Make sure that local routines are established and support the implementation of the routines in Purchasing & Logistics office; (moved from below, is this doubled with the line above?)
Organizing meetings and gatherings for the office and to be the contact person for internal and external partners.
Support of Risk management agenda
Cooperation with office vendors
Support the co-workers to understand and apply office routines.
Contribute in development projects, proven solutions implementation etc
Support the wider Business Navigation & Administration Team with daily operations.
You are responsible for supporting together with local IT our new-comers to have a smooth start into our company

Be first point of contact for Retail partners in daily operations and product availability
Lead and be responsible for Market Operations Forums
Be responsible for order management
Take the lead in proactively co-ordinating supply chain partners to find optimum solutions to supply constraints
Report on a range of KPIs providing information to retail and supply chain partners
Coordinate global and local sales activities and prepare for launch of new products
Contribute to establishment of new retail units and new markets together with other supply chain partners
Review and provide input to supply chain partners to secure optimal replenishment solution


The position is a fulltime, permanent assignment, located in Älmhult. There are 2 teams of Food Demand Coordinators based in Älmhult - East and West.

This position is in East team which geographically covers Scandinavia, East and Central Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia.
