Job Description

Our Exhibition team leads the development of IKEA Museum and Museum of Furniture Studies by initiating new exhibitions and improving existing ones. As Curator in the Exhibition team, you develop exhibitions with a holistic and visitor centric approach in line with the overall business priorities to strengthen IKEA positioning in Life at Home, Home Furnishing, Democratic Design and Älmhult as a design destination. You will lead the creative process of the decided exhibitions from ideation to final exhibition and include relevant teams, functions, and specialists into the process. You execute development of content in line with set directions, IKEA tone-of-voice and other communication guidelines. Together with relevant stakeholders and assigned specialists, you create the narrative for the exhibition and quality secure that the content is relevant for the decided topic and the visualization of the exhibition is according to the set frameworks.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a creative and courageous person who can turn bold ideas into meaningful experiences!

You have a strong will to deliver on goals and in time, through involving, engaging, and motivating others – building trust and good relationships.
We see that you have strong leadership capabilities and good communication skills with the ability to inspire others and express yourself clearly. You have the capacity to initiate and develop exhibitions, lead creative processes, and cooperate effectively with designers and other specialists. You have the capability to explore different perspectives, be curious, and to lead with processes, engaging people in parallel. You have an eye for details as well as the totality.
We expect you to have a university degree in design, curation, art direction and/or experience in design, curation or creative direction in a global organization. You have experience of leading creative processes in a bigger context. It is beneficial if you have experience working with exhibition development.
We see that you are fluent in English, both spoken and written.

På IKEA Älmhult AB möter vi våra gäster i alla våra olika verksamheter, så som: i Köket på IKEA Museum, IKEA Hotells restaurang Grillen, MUMS och Aktivitetshuset. Vi söker nu dig som brinner för mötet med gästen och att skapa en genuin och trevlig upplevelse under både frukost, lunchrusning och kvällsservering. Ta emot beställningar under lunch, kväll och helg
Ta emot beställning i kassan, bordsservering och presentation av rätter och dryck

Kvalifikationer
Vi söker dig som älskar service och att möta gäster eller kunder! Du får gärna ha tidigare erfarenhet av att ha jobbat inom restaurang och/eller service-branschen. Du tycker om att jobba i ett högt tempo och i en miljö med mycket människor och hög puls. Du har en förmåga att ta egna initiativ till att få saker gjorda och kan se vad som behöver göras. Du har också en nyfikenhet på att ständigt lära dig nya saker och vill hela tiden hitta lösningar och kan hantera de problem som uppstår i vardagen. Och självklart delar du vår passion för IKEA:s historia, kultur och värderingar!
Specifika krav:
Du har en passion för mat och en fantastisk gästupplevelse.
Att jobba i ett team där ni tillsammans hjälps åt för att skapa den bästa upplevelsen för gästen är något du brinner för.
Är flytande i svenska och engelska i både tal och skift. Har du ytterligare språkkunskaper är det ett plus.
Du är van att hantera datorer och olika typer av IT-applikationer.
Du måste vara över 18 år och inneha ett svenskt arbetstillstånd.



Övrig information
Vi erbjuder nu flera deltidstjänster (om ca 80%, men kontraktsmått kan variera) på visstid under sommaren för perioden juni till den 31 augusti. Upplärning kan börja på lägre kontraktsmått under kvällar och helger under maj och juni månad. Våra scheman följer våra verksamheters öppettider. Arbetstiden är schemalagd främst på lunch- och kvällstid samt helger. Våra öppettider sträcker sig från 05:30 till 23:30. Alla våra verksamheter finns i Älmhult.

The Conservator role requires you to have good general knowledge in the care of a wide range of materials, and experience of working in the area of conservation.

Your key areas of responsibilities will be:
To independently assess collection conditions and contribute to the preventive conservation of collections made of a wide range of organic and inorganic materials by proposing environmental management solutions for long-term preservation.

Arbetsbeskrivning
Som Sous chef säkrar och bidrar du till en positiv och fantastisk mat upplevelse genom att tillreda rätter med hög kvalitet. Rollen motsvarar den traditionella Sous Chef rollen med ansvar att säkra den dagliga driften i köket på våra restauranger. Detta innebär att förbereda vårt matutbud enligt uppsatta rutiner och arbetssätt med hög kvalitet. Du förväntas också att bidra till utvecklingen av existerande rutiner och arbetssätt samt skapandet av nya rutiner. Du coachar dina kollegor i ovanstående och säkrar att alla medarbetare är uppdaterade kring gällande arbetssätt, regler och rutiner inom mathantering.
Dina specifika ansvarsområden:
Säkra att den dagliga driften i köket fungerar väl, är effektiv och följer våra uppsatta rutiner
Tillreda mat enligt receptur och menyplan och följa kökets checklistor
Hantera dagliga leveranser, säkra lager och inventering
Säkra och upprätthålla att alla arbetsuppgifter utförs i enlighet med HACCP
Bidra till menyplanering
Ansvarig för beställning av råvaror och förbrukningsmaterial



Kvalifikationskrav
Du har gedigen dokumenterad erfarenhet och kunskap från restaurangbranschen där du har haft ansvar för den dagliga driften. Du är van att ta ansvar för vad som behövs göras och har förmågan att coacha och leda dina kollegor i att ta ansvar för deras arbetsuppgifter, för att säkra en fantastisk matupplevelse för våra gäster.
Specifika krav:
Dokumenterad flerårig erfarenhet av att leda den dagliga driften i ett restaurangkök
Minst 3-5 års erfarenhet av att arbeta som Sous Chef på en större restaruang eller storkök
God kommunikativ förmåga som gör att du kan engagera och involvera andra på ett bra sätt
God förmåga att vara en god positiv förebild för dina kollegor
Flytande kunskaper i svenska och engelska i både tal och skrift

The Museum of Furniture Studies, the acclaimed institution founded by architects Kersti Sandin and Lars Bülow, has been acquired by IKEA Älmhult AB. Job Description
The Museum of Furniture Studies Manager will establish The Museum of Furniture Studies in Älmhult and online, ensuring its attractiveness and contribution to Älmhult as a global design destination.
You will make sure that we develop and secure a unique experience through a constantly developing offer with exhibitions, seminars, education, trainings, workshops and more.
You will be responsible of securing running operations of The Museum of Furniture Studies, safeguarding a unique and relevant experience for all visitors (online and offline) at all times. In this role, you will lead and develop The Museum of Furniture Studies team, and create preconditions for your co-workers to perform and deliver as well as learn and develop. You lead by example and act according to our company values.
The museum is located in Älmhult, Småland, Sweden but you will work in an international arena.


Qualifications
We are looking for a leader with an in-depth knowledge in furniture design.
